FAQs about LIFE GROUPS
1. What is it?
A Life Group consists of at least 1 adult and 5 peers to help you
connect in more meaningful relationships where you feel comfortable
sharing your ups and downs, grow closer to God and each other, help meet
each other’s needs and reach out to the community.
2. When do they occur and why?
LIFE GROUPS will occur as part of our Sunday Night experience.
Sunday nights will still have a crazy game, big group time, but then
also a time to connect in the various LIFE GROUPS. Sunday Nights was
chosen to maximize our adult resources as well as not to create another
program in addition to so families would not feel stretched more than
they already are.
3. How will the LIFE GROUPS be determined?
Utilizing the registration cards, groups will develop first from
relationship that already exist and expand from there. Your preferences
in terms of student and adult relationships will both factor into the
equation.
4. How will new students join?
Each Life Group will first be marked according to grade level, so a new
student will have an opportunity to connect with people they may see
every day at school.
5. How do I choose my Life Group Leader?
Consider an adult whom you feel comfortable sharing life’s ups and downs
with. Feel free to indicate an adult who may or may not be part of the
adult ministry team. If you choose someone who is not currently serving
on our team this could be the opportunity to invite them.
6. Will the groups be co-ed?
This will be determined first by how many leaders we have, and a
consideration given to the registration response. Ideally no, only
because conversations can go deeper if they are same sex. HS may be
co-ed after considering the registration response. |
