Administrative Pastor

Rev. Gary D. Weaver was appointed Vision and Teaching Pastor of our church on July 1, 2009. He served in Lawrenceville for 7 years and also served churches in the Williamsport and Montoursville areas. He most recently served at Saint Paul’s Chapel United Methodist Church, Red Lion.

He is a native of Lancaster graduating from Hempfield High School where he met his wife of 26 years, Cindy. Gary received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Lycoming College, Williamsport and his Master of Divinity from Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Philadelphia. Gary is presently a doctoral student at Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C. Gary served on various Conference boards and agencies, including the Conference Board of Global Missions, the Board of Stewardship Foundation and serves as the chairperson of the Parish Development and Social Ministry Committee. He has also been a mentor for new pastors.

Gary and Cindy have two grown sons, Isaac and Aaron. Cindy works at Logos Academy in York, which provides Christ-centered, intercultural, classical education to students in the city of York. Gary served as a Team Uncle for the Little League World Series in Williamsport for the last ten years.
