We are suspending meals on Sunday evenings due to the Omicron surge. We will bring the meals back once our church policy changes. During this time, the Youth Room will be open for “after party” hangouts until 7pm.

Youth Group - A “normal” night in our ministry includes games, large group teaching, sharing a meal together, and our favorite thing we do: small groups. For 30-40 mins each youth group, we gather students (7th-12th grade) in age and gender specific small groups with at least 1 adult leader. It's a time for real conversation, being yourself, sharing life's highs/ lows, encouraging each other, asking tough questions, and discussing together what it means to love like Jesus. There's nothing else like it.

Zeteo Retreat - It's our highlight event of the year! We encourage all students to make this a priority. Check out our Zeteo 2020 video to get a taste of what this weekend is like. Cost is $70/student. Signup deadline has been pushed to January 23. Signup here or on the hard copy in the church lobby! See more Zeteo details on Salt N' Light's website.

I-Blast On 1/21 @ 7:15pm and 1/22 @ 1:30pm at Grace UMC Hummelstown (433 East Main St.), iBlast Creative Ministries will be showcasing their puppetry, blacklight, and creative movement for all ages. It's a great performance and there's a handful of our youth involved in this ministry (Havannah, Laura, Heather, and Nathan)!

Sledding - Stay tuned for a spontaneous scheduling of a sledding outing @ Shank Park on a given Sunday afternoon (or two?) in January or February. If/when a snowstorm works in our favor, we’ll be sledding from 2:30-4pm and then plan to provide enough transportation to the church building for youth group. Bring a change of shoes and we’ll warm up with some hot chocolate! We did this last year and it was a blast!

Secret Garden Showing - Charlotte Caples has the lead role for the Whitaker Center’s showing of the Secret Garden. A generous donor has offered to sponsor a trip for anyone from the youth group to see it! We’ll be going on February 19 @ 7:30pm. Signup here by 2/6 to reserve your ticket.

Mobile Mission - Bethesda Mission's street ministry is called "Mobile Mission." Our church team will follow the Bethesda van and make 3 stops at designated locations in Harrisburg city (where this organization has been stopping for years). The team will serve food and clothing to the people who are homeless. This has been a ministry our church has partnered with for many years, and so we had a lot of HS students go during the Local Mission Camp. As you can read on the website description, I can also testify that for volunteers it is often one of the most "transformative experiences of their lives." This opportunity is only open to HS age and older. Meet in the church parking lot @ 5:45pm. Spots are limited! Please contact Jenny Greene ( ) to signup.
