Sunday School for adults and children is held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Child care is provided in our Nursery during this hour.   We will go through the rest of 1st and 2nd Kings as we follow Israel and Judah heading toward the Exile. Once there, we will spend time in the Writings of the Hebrew scriptures. This material arose from the ashes of the Exile, and it includes some of the most provocative and engaging texts in the Bible—books such as Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Songs, Esther, Ruth, and even Psalms. Class format is one of open and honest discussion. We read a passage and then spend some time pondering it, looking for both its meaning and relevance to our lives as Christians. Questions and insights are both necessary and encouraged in order to allow the Spirit to speak to and through all of us. New friends are always welcome!
