Youth Ministry

Who we are

No one should have to do life on their your own, especially when you're a teenager. In a broken world with loneliness, fear, and pain, students are looking for a place to find identity, belong in community, and live with purpose. We want our youth ministry to be that safe place.

Our mission is to invite youth to see they are made in God's image, give them a place to belong in community, and together become people who love like Jesus. We have a Covenant of Expectations with values and rules that help us create a safe place for all.

One of the most important things we do is small groups. For the last 30-40 minutes of each youth group, we gather students (7th-12th grade) in age and gender specific small groups with at least 2 adult leaders. It's a time for being yourself, real conversation, sharing life's highs/ lows, intergenerational connection, encouraging each other, asking tough questions, and imagining what it means to love like Jesus. There's nothing else like it.

Check out the current youth ministry calendar for opportunities to find that place of belonging while growing a faith that loves like Jesus.

Youth Group

Youth Group meets every Sunday evening 4:30-7pm during the school year for dinner, hanging out, music, games, teaching, and small groups. Here's the Winter 2024 Calendar! We also have special events (see below) for serving our community and connecting with other youth. All students are welcome!

SUMMER Wednesdays

During the Summer, we take a break from Sunday evenings and instead have Summer Wednesdays for youth group. Summer Wednesday gatherings will sometimes be in the mornings (Crepes & Chill) and sometimes in the evening with dinner (Pool Parties and Game Nights). Many Summer gatherings include a short time for prayer and/or discussion about following Jesus, but they're also very laid back and fun! Friends are always welcome. Here's the Summer 2023 calendar!

Special Events

We have a number of annual special events throughout the year designed for developing deeper connection and opportunities to tangibly love like Jesus. Some highlights include the Trunk or Treat community event during the Halloween parade, Local Mission Days with some of our partner organizations, the Zeteo retreat in January, a Lock-In overnight at the church in March, the NYC Mission Trip in June, the Red Bird mission trip to Kentucky in July, and the Impact camping retreat in July.
